Stormbirds
The Stormbirds were a very popular band from Hinckley in Leicestershire, dating back to the early 1960's. I don't have much information about the Stormbirds, If you have any photographs, recordings or video that I can add to this page it would be very much appreciated.
These are the only photographs I have of the Stormbirds. Another great Hinckley band from the early 60's

From left to right, Roy Loke, Paul Bedder, Nick Mayne, Alan Towers, Neil Norman (1947-2005) and Johnny Bedder. It was taken at Newbold Verdon Working Mens club in 1963.
I only saw them at a reunion at the Hinckley Central Club when four of them, Nick Mayne, Dave Palmer, Roy Loke and Neil Norman got together again after over 30 years. What a great night that was.
Neil was a good friend, but long after this band had finished.

Jonny Bedder went on to play with Screaming Lord Sutch and the Savages, Brian Gulliver's Travellers, Tony Dangerfield´s Thrills, He sessioned for Joe Meek for about a year before touring with the Winston G Set (April-Sept 1967) and then joined Jimmy James and The Vagabonds .
Nick Mayne went on to play for the band Magazine until the mid 70's.
