The Stormbirds
These are the only photographs I have of the Stormbirds. Another great Hinckley band from the early 60's
.
From left to right, Roy Loke, Paul Bedder, Nick Mayne, Alan Towers, Neil Norman and Johnny Bedder. It was taken at Newbold Verdon Working Mens club in 1963.
I only saw them at a reunion at the Hinckley Central Club when four of them, Nick Mayne, Dave Palmer, Roy Loke and Neil Norman got together again after over 30 years. What a great night that was.
Much later Neil was a good friend, but long after this band had finished.
